    Severance Consent Application B14/2024 proposes to create a registered easement across the existing Plan of Condominium to allow for connection of the services and access to additional phasing of the Orchard Hill Development.  The registered easement will provide access for any necessary maintenance access for the Plan of Condominium.

    The Public Hearing / Public Meeting is held in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act.  The purpose of the meeting is for Council Members to formally hear and receive public and agency comments.  The intent of this statutory Public Hearing / Meeting is to receive public feedback and incorporate it into a recommendation report from Staff.  No decision will be made during this meeting.

    Severance Consent Application B15/2024, proposes to create one (1) new parcel, being approximately 1.75 hectares (4.32 acres) with an existing surplus residential dwelling and outbuildings from approximately 39.43 hectares (97.43 acres). The retained portion, being approximately 37.68 hectares (93.11 acres) vacant land with outbuilding. 

    Subsequent to Severance Consent Application B15/2024, the purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to recognize the creation of one (1) new parcel, being approximately 1.75 hectares (4.32 acres), with existing surplus residential dwelling and outbuildings. The current zoning of the subject lands is the Agricultural (A) Zone and Environmental Protection (EP) Zone.

    The proposed zoning for Severance Consent Application B15/2024 will be the Rural Residential (RR) Zone. The proposed zoning for the retained portion, being approximately 37.68 hectares (93.11 acres), vacant land with outbuilding, will be rezoned to Agricultural Exception (A*) Zone, in which no residential building permit(s) will be issues for this parcel of land. All Environmental Protection (EP) Zoning will remain in place.

  • Notice of Public Information Centre - Watermain Replacement

    The Municipality of Trent Hills is currently planning upgrades to the drinking water system for the subdivision off Trent Drive. The Municipality has identified that the current watermain infrastructure serving the community requires substantial refurbishment and no longer meets the needs of the drinking water system. The reconstruction of infrastructure in this area will include new watermain and services, fire hydrant replacement as well as improvements to the sanitary system, storm system and complete road reconstruction.


    The Municipality is conducting a public information center on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This will be held at the Emergency Services Base, located at 50 Doxsee Avenue, 2nd Floor (Council Chambers) Campbellford. We are interested in hearing any comments or concerns that you may have about this project.   • Official Plan Review Discussion Papers

    Beginning in December 2022, the Municipality of Trent Hills began the process of creating a new Official Plan. The Municipality of Trent Hills is pleased to release Discussion Papers prepared in support of the new Official Plan creation.

    Using the findings and feedback received through background research, best practices review, and the Community Scan digital survey, Fotenn consultants have prepared a series of discussion papers outlining current conditions and policy options for the Municipality of Trent Hills.

    Each discussion paper will outline the policy framework in the current Official Plan (as applicable), provincial and County policy direction, opportunities and challenges, and proposed policy approaches.

    The following four (4) discussion papers have been produced and have been added to our website:

    Strong Healthy Communities
    Resources and Environment
    Development Hazards and Constraints
    Official Plan Implementation

    A public engagement session for members of the community will be scheduled in the coming months, centred on the findings of the Discussion Papers in key policy areas, including background and recommendations. Attendees will be invited to ask questions and provide input on the land use planning issues facing their community. The Public Engagement Session will be advertised via our website and social media channels.
