Update - The Nominations for the Trent Hills Civis Awards are Closed
Thank you to all those that took time to submit a nomination.  We received 53 nominations in the various categories.  Please check back to this page, as updates will be posted in the near future regarding the Civic Awards Ceremony on Friday March 26, 2010 at the Hastings Civic Centre.

The Municipality of Trent Hills would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our citizens and organizations that help to make our community such an amazing place to live, work, and play.  We invite you to take this opportunity to recognize those individuals and organizations that you believe are deserving of this recognition.  Nominations will be received until 2:00 p.m. on January 29, 2010.  The Civic Awards will be presented at a special ceremony on March 26, 2010.

Award Categories:

Agricultural Leadership AwardFor volunteer efforts and leadership in agricultural improvements, promotion of rural lifestyles, or assistance in agricultural events and activities.
Cultural Award of MeritFor enhancing awareness within the community of culture, visual, performing or literary arts.
Outstanding Youth AwardFor an exceptional contribution(s) made to the community and/or their school, and to an individual who is nineteen years of age or younger as of December 31st of the year of nomination.
Sporting Excellence Award For individual or team accomplishment of a regional, provincial and/or national championship.
Community Betterment AwardFor a volunteer or group of volunteers whose actions, commitment, volunteer leadership, service and community spirit has made a difference in the lives of those in the community.
Recreation & Sport Award For volunteer efforts in the promotion, organization, sponsorship or motivation of sports, recreation, and leisure pursuits for healthy and active living.
Heritage Awareness AwardFor an individual or group that has promoted awareness of Trent Hills' Heritage.
Architectural Conservation AwardFor a property owner of the subject property and/or the contractor or the craft person for preserving and/or restoring a heritage property in Trent Hills.

 Eligibility & Conditions:
1. Complete, sign and submit the Entry Form by the nomination deadline.
2. All qualified candidates are encouraged to nominate themselves or you may nominate any qualified individual/organization.
3. Recipients must reside or operate their organization in the Municipality of Trent Hills.  However, the Selection Committee  may choose to honour a non-Trent Hills resident or organization with strong ties and contributions to the community.
4. Employees of the Municipality of Trent Hills are not eligible for nominations recognizing contributions made while performing their duties.
5. All materials contained in the submission will be treated as public information.
