The goal of the Administration Division is to provide support to the Public Works Department in the delivery of the approved maintenance programs; to support the expansion and development of the Municipality in accordance with the Community's Official Plan.
The Administration Division provides support to the maintenance programs through the preparation of tenders and quotations to secure competitive prices for the delivery of the required products and services; maintains a training program designed to encourage the continued professional upgrading of staff; reviews development submissions, plans, studies and reports; ensures Health and Safety standards by the Municipality and staff are being met and recommend improvements; establish mechanisms of improved financial reporting with the Finance Department; tender preparation, budget preparation, inventories, vehicle licensing, performance monitoring, the administration of road closures, operations and maintenance of the department's radio communication system and Council liaison.
