The Official Plan for the Municipality of Trent Hills provides direction for the high quality of life offered to all its residents. The intent is to sustain the dynamic and diverse economy while protecting the significant environmental and heritage characteristics of the area. The Official Plan is currently under review and will be updated in late 2008/early 2009. More information regarding this update will be posted on this page as it become available.

Official Plan Amendment # 5
Official Plan Amendment No. 5 sets out changes to the Official Plan that will bring the plan into conformity with Places to Grow. The changes are based on the findings of the Northumberland County Growth Management Strategy completed in 2009. This amendment is the first step in a process to update the Official Plan. A Planning Issues Paper outlining further proposed changes is also available for the public to review.
