Cemetery Regulations
Cemeteries operated by the Municipality of Trent Hills are regulated by our Cemetery By-law.
Our Cemetery Related Fees are found in the Municipality's current Fees and Charges By-law under Schedule "C".
Municipally operated cemeteries are open annually from May 1 to November 30, weather permitting. During these dates, the cemeteries are open for visitation from dawn to dusk.
We ask our visitors to respect the dignity and integrity of the cemeteries and the rights of the other visitors.
- Visitors are to conduct themselves in a quiet manner and not disturb any service being held
- Dogs or other animals, except a working/service animal, are not permitted in the cemeteries
- Planting of shrubbery, trees or perennials is not permitted

Land Acknowledgement
We recognize the traditional keepers of this land and, specifically our neighbours of the Alderville First Nation, with a formal territorial acknowledgement.
Welcome to the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. It is on these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg met with the Crown to facilitate the opening of these lands for
settlement.
Let us be reminded of the responsibility we all have in making sure that we respect these lands and waters that give us life and sustain our livelihoods.
